BorderWare
Firewall Server Training Installation and administration of firewalls demand
specialized skills. This 5-day intensive training course provides the knowledge
and hands-on experience required for participants to become BorderWare Firewall
Server certified professionals. This course will explore the complete gambit of
required activities from the initial pre-installation planning, through the administration
of a mature system, to the advanced BorderWare Firewall Server features. During
this training, participants will learn theory and gain practical experience in
the use of the BorderWare Firewall Server. This instructor lead course is offered
in our extensive lab facilities, and combines presentation of theory with hands-on
workshops to deliver a cohesive training course designed to meet the needs of
IT professionals.

course concentrates on firewalls; specifically the BorderWare Firewall Server.
It is assumed that participants have the following basic Internet knowledge and
abilities: |

Session Descriptions
| Day
1 - Concepts and Pre-Planning
Firewalls are the focal point in a network
for Internet security. As such, poor planning, or a poor firewall installation,
results in inadequate firewall operation which adversely affects all other security
initiatives. On Day 1, participants learn what is needed to properly plan their
firewall installation. Detailed firewall concepts, both general and specific to
BorderWare, architectures, and impact on other parts of the network are discussed.
Day 2 - Initial Installation and Configuration
Day 2 builds on the concepts and planning performed in the first day. Today, you
install a BorderWare Firewall Server, and configure it to work based on the planning
steps developed on the first day. Day 3 - Basic Administration
Firewall activities continue after the firewall is installed. On Day 3, participants
learn how to perform day-to-day administration of their BorderWare firewall. You
will perform the tasks of making changes to the configuration, viewing and analyzing
logs, and basic troubleshooting when a problem occurs. Day
4 - Virtual Private Networks
The BorderWare Firewall extends beyond
basic firewall capabilities to include Virtual Private Networks. On Day 4, you
become proficient with installing and configuring the BorderWare Firewall Server
VPN option. Day 5 - Advanced Administration
To complete your BorderWare Firewall skills, Day 5 examines those administrative
tasks that are beyond day-to-day activities. This day builds on the basic administration
skills you gained on Day 3 by examining the activation, configuration, and administration
of the advanced BorderWare Firewall Server options. |

Course Fee
|
|
Fees are based on the number of training days purchased in
a block during registration. The block of days may be used
by any number of people.

| 1 day - $1,000 |
| 2-5 days - $850 per day |
| 6 or more days - $775 per day |
The fee covers all course materials, refreshments and lunch.

Company Cheque - Pay directly using a company cheque.

Approved Company Purchase Order - Upon receipt, an invoice
will be issued to the company.

Invoice Company - An invoice will be issued to the company.

In all cases, payment in full must be received prior to the
start of the course.

Cancellation Policy:
|
|
Cancellation and full refund will be allowed if written cancellation
is received at least ten business days prior to the course
start date. Registrants who do not attend the course or do
not cancel more than ten business days in advance are responsible
for the full registration fee. Substitutions may be made at
any time. If we must cancel for any reason, liability is limited
to the registration fee only.
