Randy MacDougall

Randy MacDougall, President and founding partner of Expert Systems Resources inc., is a proud pioneer and survivor of the Computer Revolution.

During his 30 years in Information Technology, Randy has been at the leading edge of the boom in personal computers, mainframe changes, systems development and design, and networks of varying types and sizes. He has worked as a developer, trouble-shooter, manager, and consultant.

Although widely acknowledged as a skilled programmer, network designer, and entrepreneur, Randy’s major strength is as a creative problem-solver skilled at locating and adapting exactly the right mix of software and hardware to solve specific problems.

His skill of appropriately integrating multiple technologies has been successfully applied to challenges as diverse as an innovative high-performance library automation system and a messaging switcher/protocol converter system for a major Canadian bank. Randy has also implemented security features for major corporations and designed and implemented many LAN systems.

Somewhere along the way he has also found time to author 11 college textbooks on various telecommunications topics; design and build private training centres; establish an innovative community college telecommunications program; and ensure the high performance levels of the ESR team.

Paul Woroshow

Vice-President, Business Development - Expert Systems Resources inc.

Paul Woroshow, ESR’s Vice-President, Business Development, brings a solid foundation in business and technology to ESR’s core skills.

Paul has spent more than 25 years in the transportation, mining, entertainment, and manufacturing sectors. Before becoming a partner at ESR, Paul held high-level management positions with Spar Aerospace and Delrina Corporation.

He has designed, implemented, and managed a wide range of security plans, network installations, management systems, and new business lines.

Paul builds on the solid foundation of a McGill University commerce degree. He specializes in the business and corporate applications of information technology and telecommunications, and places strong emphasis on client needs and customer satisfaction.

Paul describes himself as a "dedicated lifetime learner" who regularly attends seminars and workshops to acquire new skills and update existing ones. He credits his ability to analyze problems and to implement creative solutions to the fresh perspective each new learning experience brings.

He has never met a problem he wasn't prepared to tackle, and relishes achieving "the impossible."
